Choral Academy

In its Choral Academy, La Monnaie offers young singers who have been educated in a Belgian arts or music school a unique opportunity to gain professional experience in an internationally renowned opera chorus.

With the permission of their singing teacher, they are recruited through auditions and are able to acquire stage experience for at least a year, take part in master-classes given by celebrated singers who are guests at La Monnaie and in personalised coaching sessions (workshops in En’Man’Dō, movement coaching etc.), attend all the performances at La Monnaie and meet the people who work in this opera house – the first decisive step in their burgeoning career. By attending this Choral Academy, the students receive study points recognised by their schools.

New auditions for our Choral Academy
