3Abschied
In 1921, Arnold Schoenberg undertook the transcription for a group of thirteen musicians of Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde. Choreographers Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Jérôme Bel propose a triple interpretation of the last movement of this famous work, 'Der Abschied'. As the first collaboration between one of the most important figures on the international dance scene and a radical and controversial artist, the world premiere of 3Abschied is the choreographic part of a diptych devoted to Das Lied von der Erde. A highly awaited event!
